The 2019 Oscars held on Sunday and Gaga’s song, ‘Shallow’ from the movie, ‘A Star Is Born’ clinched the coveted prize. Gaga who starred in the movie alongside, Bradley Cooper wrote, “Shallow” alongside songwriters Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.
Her win not only makes her well on her way to an EGOT as she has already clinched an Emmy, Grammy, Oscars and the pop star makes history as one of the few out bisexual stars to win an Academy Award. She now needs just an Emmy and a Tony award to make her an EGOT.
During her acceptance speech at the 2019 Academy awards, Gaga thanked the Academy, her family, and Bradley Cooper, before exclaiming how hard work got her there.
“This is hard work. I’ve worked hard for a long time. It’s not about winning — what it’s about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There’s a discipline for passion, and it’s not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or get beaten up. It’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and keep going.”
Ronson thanked Gaga: “I think when you’re in the room with this person, you don’t have to do that much. She acts, she sings the song. Lady Gaga, we salute you.
It would be recalled that Gaga recently split from her fiancé, Christian Carino after dating for two years and being engaged for one year.
