Everyone who has heard the name Liam Neeson will not easily forget the deep menacing voice promising death upon his daughter’s abductors in the film Taken. Perhaps that raw emotion and disturbingly calm but deadly voice is not all an act.
In a recent interview granted by the actor, he confessed how angry he was at the news of a friend’s rape. According to him he had armed himself hoping to exact revenge on the individual who he referred as a black b…..d.
According to him, he had asked his friend for specific description of her attacker and she had said that he was ‘black.’
“I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody – I’m ashamed to say that – and I did it for maybe a week, hoping some [uses air quotes with fingers] ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him.”
The racial slur has sparked outrage as people are appalled and somewhat disappointed to discover that he would specifically ask about the race of the rapist.
He said the incident happened a long time ago but recognized how someone can become primitive in trying to get revenge which could cause a lot of harm.
This interview has gotten people reacting and concluding that he is deeply racist that is why his first question about the rapist was about his race.
