Jussie Smollett is the most talked about actor worldwide at the moment. This is because his staged attack has thrown more light on his character. More so, Smollett and the Osundairo brothers trial before the Cook County Grand Jury has revealed more than fans expected.
The brothers Ola and Abel Osundairo claim that they “rehearsed” the attack in the Empire star’s house days before the alleged incident on January 29. Cameras at the store where they purchased the gloves, red caps and sunglasses show it had indeed been deliberately planned. The brothers were supposed to leave for Nigeria immediately after the incident. They, however, deny that they had anything to do with the hate mail. Instead, they allege that he wrote himself a hate mail and added a white powder-now identified as aspirin- and claimed that someone sent it.
According to the Chicago police chief, Eddie Johnson in a news conference, he “took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career” because he was “dissatisfied with his salary” at Fox. It should be recalled that the incident had left the police questioning his claims because he wore the rope used in the attack for 42 minutes before their arrival. The camera Smollett claimed recorded the attack was also pointing in the wrong direction.
Smollett who turned himself in today and already has a mugshot taken has become the subject of conversations around the world including the president of the United States, Donald Trump and Cardi B.
He also added that Smollett first “attempted to gain attention by sending a false letter that relied on racial, homophobic and political language” to Fox studios, where he worked.
He has been slammed with felony and risks three years in jail.
Meanwhile, Cardi B is part of the celebrities who believe that he is an embarrassment to Black History Month while Trump questions his accusations on MAGA caps.
