Superstar Nigerian singer Davido has urged the Nigerian government to introduce electronic voting system.
The multiple award-winning entertainer made this call on Twitter after he called for the restructuring of Nigeria, as he complains about the increase in petroleum, electricity tariffs, insecurity and education system in the country.
Davido wrote;
“Introduce electronic voting …. automatic stopping of seizing of ballot boxes .. #nomorerigging ”
Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy was quick to agree with Davido as he suggested that building the electronic voting system with blockchain technology will reduce the chances of voting system getting hijacked by thugs used by politicians.
Don Jazzy wrote;
“Yep. Build it on top blockchain technology. I concur”
Davido has been one of the many celebrities that has been very vocal about the #EndSARS campaign currently going on in the country.
The singer was praised last week for his courage when he joined protesters in Abuja. Taking to his knees, he called for peace as he advanced towards gun-wielding police men trying to disperse the protesters.
