As a business-savvy individual who understands the importance of having a financial safety net or backup plan, you will always have an eye out for top investment opportunities in Nigeria. You are not limiting yourself to only the online investment platforms that make it convenient and easy for you to invest but are also spreading your net to catch other good investment opportunities. And that is smart of you because having more options to choose from when it comes to investing your money will help save for later, retirement or other life goals.

Every year comes with its own fair share of new and attractive investment opportunities and 2019 is not excluded. There are a good number of promising sectors in Nigeria that can create wealth for you once you take advantage of them. Without wasting much of your time, let’s go straight to listing some of the best investment opportunities in Nigeria for 2019:

FGN Savings Bond

Not many people, particularly Nigerian youths, are aware that the Federal Government of Nigeria offers a cool investment opportunity referred to as Savings Bonds. How does this work? You lend the government money and in return, earn interests on your savings. The savings bonds interest can be up to 13% and is paid twice a year.

However, the timeframe you choose determines how much interest rate you get. The amount of money you can invest in the FGN savings bonds is between 5,000 Naira to 50,000,000 Naira for two to twenty years. This investment is tax-free, safe and reliable. You can be sure that the Nigerian government won’t be collapsing anytime soon.

Agriculture

Agriculture remains one of the most reliable economy boosters in Nigeria. It is all about food and people will always need food to survive. If you are interested in investing in agriculture, you can venture into any one of its subdivisions like livestock production, food production, and fish farming or indirectly invest in an agricultural organization like IFAD or Thriveagric.

Carry out a proper research on any agricultural organization or agriculture business you wish to invest in to avoid being misguided or scammed.

Internet Marketing

The world of internet marketing still holds a lot of attraction for many Nigerians looking for investment opportunities in 2019. There are many electronic services you can provide to individuals or organizations that will fetch you a good steady income. And a good investment is one that can make you profit without stealing your peace of mind.

If you are interested in digital and internet marketing, consider developing and offering a range of e-services like web hosting, app and web designing, computer programming, digital marketing services, SEO services and so on.

Real estate

Although real estate usually requires a large capital, you can find relatively cheap piece of lands in developing parts of the country. If real estate investment holds more attraction for you but you can’t afford to start big, it is advisable to buy those cheap lands and resell them in the future when their value increases.

But if you have substantial capital to start big, buy lands in highbrow areas and erect residential or office buildings on them. You can either choose to rent out or sell those buildings. Either way, you will make a huge profit from them.

Stocks

Investing in stocks can be risky because of how volatile it is. However, this investment is a risk that is worth taking as many investors have enjoyed returns on their stocks that’s as high as 60%. When you apply careful research and judgment before investing in equities, you can make a stunning profit.

Never guess or speculate when it comes to stocks, properly investigate the market progress and stay updated with the various developments.

Investment is all about taking the plunge even when you are not so sure. To succeed financially and enjoy financial security, you’ve got to invest in evergreen ventures.
