We all want that revenge body but putting it in the work is what we don’t like. There are tips that can turn you into someone who works out. Find them below:
Make exercising a weekly goal, not some faraway outcome
Although having this kind of plan means you have to take months of working out consistently to achieve any noticeable progress, it is better than having your ego bruised at not meeting your goal. Instead of setting overreaching goals, set goals that will keep you motivated and going till you eventually hit your bigger goals.
Make your exercise routine about fitness rather than weight loss
Healthy weight loss can’t be accomplished by any one behaviour as it involves changing your diet, sleeping more, rethinking ways to exercise, managing stress and other lifestyles variables. If you create an exercise routine around weight loss, you would most likely not stick to it so create one around fitness and make it a habit.
Acknowledge all the mental hurdles that will probably get in the way
Telling yourself this is the year you will fall in love with working out is a big lie as this is a common lie people tell themselves. Even regular exercisers are sometimes like “Are you serious right now?” when their alarms go off in the morning. Be ready for days when you can’t exercise and avoid putting yourself under pressure.
Align your lifestyle with your fitness goals
Your lifestyle has to match your fitness goals. You can’t be constantly hung-over or be having a little sleep yet expect to work out. Integrate your fitness goals into your lifestyle as you are more likely to stick to it this way. Depending on what your current lifestyle is, this might mean cutting back on happy hours or brunches or choosing extra sleep over Netflixing.
Take notes of your progress
Develop the habit of recording details of every workout so you can notice how faster, stronger and fitter you have become in time. Note it and celebrate your success!
